Notes from Yemen

Special cornflakes, water, and salami. Farther into the mountains. Terrific view on the Azat, rather flat rocks. Like flowing lava, red! Place of pilgrimage with white mosque. Fetched water. The sun burns. Huge cactus trees, small path down to a forest. Looked onto opposite rocks. Marvelous green terraces (Quat!). Marching, climbing up walls, climbing through river gorges. Getting higher and higher, very strenuous, nearly broke down. Reached the peak, fantastic view on the many villages deep down. Way down very steep. Arrived at the tent, exhausted, hungry, sunstroke.
